James Adams

James Williams Adams of Park Hills, Missouri departed this life December 4, 2008 at St. Anthony?s Medical Center having reached the age of seventy seven years, nine months and ten days. He was born on February 24, 1931 in Richwoods, Missouri, a son of the late Robert Adams and Carrie Price Adams.

On November 4, 1950 he married Margaret Mosier and they shared fifty eight years together. James was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, cousin and friend. He was a member of the Bismarck Church of God and there he was director of the Food Pantry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Nina Bourbon; two brothers Sylvester Adams and Clifford Adams.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife Margaret Adams of Park Hills; sons Danny Adams and wife Debra of Park Hills; Sterlin Adams and wife Julia of Potosi; Reverend Bobby Adams and wife Rhonda of Mineral Point; Richard Adams of Bonne Terre; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; many other relatives and friend who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel of Potosi, with Rev. Davey Welker officiating. Serving as pallbearers were William Wineke, Jimmy Adams, Tim Aubuchon, Bob Gunnett, Bob Farley, Chad Lawson, Danny Adams, B.J. Adams and Marcus Carrow.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Redbud Memorial Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
