Jacob Dobbs

Jacob “Dee” Dobbs, Sr. of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on October 3, 2010at his residence having reached the age of seventy eight years, ten months and twenty days. He was born on November 13, 1931 at Richwoods, Missouri a son to the late George Dobbs and Betty (Sorrels) Dobbs.

On August 26, 1970, Dee was united in marriage to Helen Courtaway and they shared forty years together.

In addition to his parents, Dee was preceded in death by two sisters Barbara Dobbs, Katherine Sorrels; two brothers Jim Dobbs and Edward DeClue.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Helen Dobbs of Cadet; two daughters Idia Gilbert and husband David of St. Clair, Mary Bell and husband Terry of Illinois; three sons David Dobbs and wife Monica of Cadet, Jacob Dobbs, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Cadet, John Dobbs and wife Lacey of Cadet; brother Johnny Dobbs and wife Genevie of Cadet; three sisters Sharon Witt, Saundra King, Betty Lou Dunn; seven grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 2 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Don Strauser officiating.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
