Jacklyn Britton

Jacklyn Lynn Britton of Sullivan, Missouri departed this life on November 8, 2011 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital having reached the age of forty four years, four months and one day. She was born on July 7, 1967 at Potosi, Missouri a daughter to Lenord Britton and the late Elenora (Boyer) Britton.

Some of Jacklyn's favorite pastimes were playing Bingo, crafts and talking to people. She knew everyone and always had a smile. Her greatest joy was her two children. She loved them more than life itself.

In addition to her mother, Jacklyn was preceded in death by her grandparents Leo and Ula Boyer, Scott and Ona Britton; great grandma Grace Kelly and best friend Joyce Piekerski.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her father Lenord Britton of Mineral Point; lifelong companion Kenny Waller of Sullivan; daughter Bettie Jo (Josh) Elmore of Sullivan; son Kenneth Waller, II of Sullivan; two sisters Cheryl (Rick) Volner of Mineral Point, Billie Jo (Mitch) Skaggs of Mineral Point; five brothers Lenord Britton of Sullivan, Donald Britton of Potosi, Boyd (Dolly) Britton of Leadwood, John Boy Britton and Gerald of Louisiana, Nary Britton of Salem; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Bob Thurman officiating. Serving as pallbearers were John Boy Britton, Gerald Venable, Josh Elmore, Nicholas Volner, Boyd Britton, Nathan Hilltard, Joe Callahan, Joe Callahan II, Andy Gleason and Michael Maddox. Honorary pallbearer was Kenneth Waller, II.

Interment and final prayers were held at Calvary Cemetery.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
