Irvin Drennen of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on March 13, 1933, a son to the late Herman "Buck" Drennen and the late Laura (Missey) Drennen. On November 10, 1951, Irvin was united in marriage to Betty Kean and they shared nearly sixty-eight years together. Irvin passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at his residence surrounded by loved ones having reached eighty-six years of age.
In addition to his parents, Irvin is preceded in death by his son, Danny Drennen; daughter-in-law, Evelyn "Peanut" Drennen; two brothers: Eugene Drennen and Carl Drennen; sister, Evelyn Downard; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and June Kean.
Irvin will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife, Betty Drennen; five children: JoAnn (James) Barron, Larry (Tami) Drennen, Rick (Nova) Drennen, Stanley (Melissa) Drennen, and Kenny (Mary) Drennen; three sisters: Leona Kean, Elnora (Ed) Jones-Fowler, and Shirley (Floyd) Kean; and many dear grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, June 15, 2019, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
A funeral service to honor Irvin will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Adams officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.
