Iris Mcconnell

Iris Kay(Wilkerson)McConnell was born on November 16th, 1948 in Cadet, Missouri to the late Alonzo Wilkerson and the late Sarah (Skiles)Wilkerson. Iris departed her Earthly body to be with her heavenly father on Friday, August 11th, 2023, having reached the age of 74.

Those who live on to cherish her memory include her husband of 50 years, Donald McConnell Sr. Brother: Randy (Janet) Wilkerson. Children: Tim(Tracy) Wilkerson, Shelly (Pat) Cresswell, Crystal (Danny) Golden, Donald McConnell Jr., Donna(Dennis) Skaggs, Jimmy(Beth) McConnell, and Kelly Adams. Grandchildren: Tiffany(Lee) Ferguson, Tj Wilkerson, Brittany(Nick) Shadrick, Brandon Golden, Haley(Justin) Jones, Kylee Cresswell, Kaylin Cresswell, Karley Cresswell, Tonya Clark, Stephanie Boyer and Joe Lipinski. Iris is also survived by her great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other dear family members. In addition to her parents, Iris is preceded in death by her siblings: Charlotte, Laverne, Carol, Linda, Mary Catherine, Margie, Harold, George, Ronnie, and Donald.

Iris was loved by so many. Everyone who was lucky enough to know her knew of her sassy and spunky personality. In her early years Iris loved to play bingo with her sisters at the Elks Lodge in Potosi, Mo. She loved to read romance novels as well. In her earlier years, Iris worked at Easter's Restaurant in Potosi, Mo. Iris loved to cook and would love to teach her grandchildren several of her recipes. She loved her late dogs, Ms. Bee and Oreo. Iris loved to call and gossip about the latest episodes of her favorite show, "90 Day Fiancé." While our family misses her more than words can describe, we take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her late family and is now in the presence of her lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
