Irene Thebeau

Irene Mary Thebeau of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on February 11, 2011 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Desoto having reached the age of ninety four years, four months and twenty days. She was born on September 22, 1916 at Cadet, Missouri a daughter to the late Albert Battreal and Clara (Bequette) Battreal.

Irene was a parish member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines.

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Thebeau; daughter Patricia Ann (Thebeau) Reed; sister Cleda Battreal; granddaughter Jackie Bieser.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are two daughters Sharon Wiley and husband Wayne of Hillsboro; Barbara Coleman and husband Raymond of Cadet; ten sons Lloyd Thebeau, Jr. and wife Jane of Hillsboro; Ronald Thebeau and wife Kathy of Hillsboro; Danny Thebeau and wife Marsha of Fredericktown; Paul Thebeau and wife Theresa of Desloge; Jim Thebeau and wife Connie of Farmington; William Thebeau of Poplar Bluff; Donald Thebeau of Cadet; Raymond Thebeau of Cadet; John Thebeau and wife Marcia of Cadet; Jeffrey Thebeau of Potosi; twenty five grandchildren; thirty six great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. She was a hard working, and loving, mother and grandmother who loved gardening. When her house was full, her heart was full. Her faith in God and prayer inspired us all.

A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, February 14, 2011 at St. Joachim Catholic Church was Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Charles Bieser, David Bieser, Steven Coleman, Jeremy Thebeau, Scott Reed, Matt Thebeau, Joe Thebeau.

Interment and final prayers were held at St. Joachim Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
