Iona Marie Missey

Iona Marie Missey of Potosi, Missouri, was born on December 31, 1922 in Millersville, Missouri, a daughter to the late Julius Cook and the late Laura Mae (Lincoln) Cook. Marie was united in marriage to Francis Missey in 1943.

Marie entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her home having reached the age of ninety-four years, four months and twenty-seven days.

Marie will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her three children: Mike Missey and wife Ruth Ann of Potosi; Roger Missey and wife Diane of Cadet; Pamela Lee and husband John of Grubbville, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Sherri Missey; twelve grandchildren: Michelle Dicus and husband Jeff, April Wideman and husband Billy, Jeremy Missey and fiancé Sara Jane Portell, Heather Kail, Jody Missey, Ashley Missey, Rebecca Craig and husband Thomas, Scott Coleman and wife LaDawn, Michelle Coleman and fiancé Carl Dull, Ryan Missey, Craig Missey and John Lee and fiancé Amy Trenholm; a host of great grandchildren; special nieces: Ann Davis, Gwen Klinckardt and Diane Nack; also surviving are many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis Missey; son, Darrell Missey; great Granddaughter, Addi Wideman; great grandson, Cade Brian Dicus; brothers: Lester, Chester, Luster and Frank; sisters: Ina, Elva, Dorothy, Audrey and Edna.

The family will receive friends at the DeClue Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, June 2, from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Horine Cemetery, Richwoods, Missouri. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements for Marie during this time of remembrance.
