Homer Turner

Homer Dale Turner of Potosi, Missouri, entered into rest on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family, having reached the age of seventy four years, ten months and five days. He was born on February 2, 1940 at Ishmael, Missouri, a son to the late McKinley Turner and Hallie (Turnbough) Turner.

On May 12, 1990 Homer was united in marriage to Janet Brand at Adam Bethel Church and they shared twenty four years together.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving wife Janet Turner of Potosi, Missouri; son Shawn Blair and wife Amy of Cabot, Arkansas; three grandchildren Autumn Blair, David Blair and Josh Blair; dear nieces and nephews whom Homer adopted Lynn and Ray Beers of Potosi, Missouri; Lisa and Dennis Crocker of Black, Missouri; David and Pam Montgomery of Rosebud, Missouri; adopted grandchildren Tyler Crocker, Shelby Crocker and Scott Beers; mothers-in-law Nelda Blair of Potosi, Missouri and Ada Brand of Bellview, Missouri; brothers and sisters-in-law Hershel and Brenda Hedgcoth of East End, Missouri Ron and Kim Brand of Sullivan, Missouri; Ronda and Kurt Davis of Leadington, Missouri; Maybell Yount of Cedar Hill, Missouri and many other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Homer was preceded in death by four brothers Perry Yount, Gene Yount, Lindell Yount and Leon Yount; one sister Betty Ann Turner Montgomery and his father-in-law Robert Brand.

Visitation for Homer will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home 301 East High Street Potosi, Missouri, 63664.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Scott Hammon officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at the Antioch Cemetery.
