Hilda Akers

July 22, 1923 — March 15, 2018

Hilda M. (Halbert) Akers of Richwoods, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the age of ninety-four years. Hilda was born on July 22, 1923 in Palmer, a daughter to the late Harvey Ralph Halbert and the late Hallie (Nipper) Halbert. In addition to her parents, Hilda is preceded in death by her son, Larry Akers; grandson, Christopher Lee Akers, two sisters: Wilma Merritt and Zelda Halbert; and daughter-in-law, Peggy Akers.

Hilda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her including her son, Lester Akers of Richwoods; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 19, 2018, beginning at 9:00 AM.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Palmer Cemetery, Belgrade. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
