Helen Leona Pickett of Cadet, Missouri passed away on December 9, 2015 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home having reached the age of seventy nine years, seven months, and twenty four days. She was born on April 15, 1936 in Mineral Point, Missouri – a daughter to the late John and Elizabeth (Vandergriff) Nash.
On January 28, 1956, Helen was united in marriage to John Henry Pickett in Cadet, Missouri, having shared fifty nine years together.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband John Henry Pickett of Cadet; seven children: Michael Pickett and wife Miranda of Wentzville, John Pickett and wife Carla of Cadet, Randy Pickett and Lauri Lamkey of Cadet, Jerry Pickett and Sharon Gibson of Hopewell, David Pickett and Sharon Thompson of Potosi, Laura Pickett of Mineral Point, and George Pickett and wife Patti of Potosi; sisters: Maudie Cain and Lorraine Saunders – both of Potosi; twenty one grandchildren; and fifty-three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her daughter Judy Pickett; grandson Rodney Lands; brothers: Arthur, Ernest, Leonard, Ronald, and Bobby Nash; and sisters: Delores Cain and Rhoda Eckhoff.
Visitation for Helen was held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 10:30 AM until the time of service. A funeral service was conducted on Saturday, at 1:00 PM, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rhonda Davis officiating.
Interment and final prayers was held at the Hopewell Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
