Helen Mae Blair of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 5, 2007 at Potosi Manor Nursing Home, having reached the age of 88 years, 7 months and 1 day. She was born on January 4, 1919 at Quaker, Missouri, a daughter of the late Wesley Martin and Sally Tedder Martin.
She was a Charter Member of the Potosi Assembly of God Church and loved her family and her Church very much. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Blair; two grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Clay.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her two sons, Roger Blair and wife Wanda of Potosi, Theodore Blair and wife Verna Lee of Desoto; a brother, Glenwood Martin of Desloge; two sisters, Virginia Dix of Benton, Rose Crocker of Pevely; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, seven great great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Bill Warren officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tony Blair, Paul Blair, Mike Blair, Danny Blair, Kenny Blair and Aaron Porter.
Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
