Harold Pierce of Potosi, Missouri, was born on December 18, 1933, in Steele, Missouri, a son of the late John Robert Pierce and Ethel (Smith) Pierce. On Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, Harold went to his Heavenly Home at the age of 89. Harold was united in marriage to Lillie Hays on July 16, 1954 and they shared nearly 60 years of life and love together.
Those who remain to treasure his memory include his daughter, Pamela Jarvis (husband, Michael); two granddaughters: Shannon Edgar (husband, David) and Michelle Wallis (husband, Eric); great grandchildren: Trenton, Tate, Trey, Caleb and wife Abie, Trevor, Avery, Carter, Cameron; great great granddaughters: Kylee and Marcie; two siblings: Shelba Jean Wray and Jerry Pierce (wife, Frances). Harold also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, church family and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillie Pierce on August 13th, 2014; and fourteen siblings: Cooper, Paul, Delbert, Howard, Elsie, J.R., Joe, Christine, Franklin, May, Marie, LaVern, Donald and Ronald.
Harold loved his family with all of his heart as well as his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Harold was a longtime faithful member of Potosi First Assembly where he previously served as song leader and Sunday School Teacher. In past times, Harold enjoyed wood working, gardening and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19th, 2023 from 12:30 to 2:30 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow on Sunday at 2:30 PM. Pastor Gary Petty and Pastor Gary Greenlee will officiate. Musical selections will be: Sweet Beulah Land, It Is Well With My Soul, and He Hideth My Soul in the Cleft of the Rock, Sung by Pastor Lloyd Pierce and Jennifer Rugh. Interment will be held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. Harold will receive full military honors provided by the United States Army and VFW Post 6996. DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have served and ministered to the family of Mr. Harold Pierce.
