Harold Raymond Link was born on October 20, 1931 in Cadet, Missouri, a son to the late Melvin Link and the late Emma (Head) Link. On June 6, 1952, Harold was united in marriage to Betty Benson and together they shared sixty-four years.
Harold went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital having reached the age of eighty-five years, five months, and twenty-three days.
He will be missed by all who loved and knew him including his beloved wife, Betty Link of Cadet; son, Randy Link and wife Dottie of Salem; brother, Troy Link and wife Dorothy of Potosi; sister, Norma Miller and husband Ronnie of Farmington; six grandchildren: Nathan Link, Becky Humphrey and husband Gene, Bennie Elliott and wife Korra, Christopher Link, Eric Krock, and Lacey McMahan and husband Thomas; several great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Shirley Link of Hillsboro and Shirley Link of St. Louis; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his son, Larry Link; brothers: Earl, Vincent, and Arnold Link; sisters: Ruth Evans and Juanita Yates; and brothers-in-law: Fred Yates and Paul Evans.
Visitation for Harold was held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, beginning at 9:00 AM.
A funeral service began at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gary Petty officiating.
Honoring Harold by serving as his pallbearers were Bennie Elliott, Nathan Link, Alonzo Charles Moore, and Corey Winters.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
