Harold Richard Gilbert of Potosi was born on May 14, 1937 in Maryville, Missouri, a son to the late Dorothy Lucille Wolf. On May 18, 1957, Harold was united in marriage to Rosanna M. (Martin) Gilbert and they shared sixty years together.
Harold entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his residence having reached the age of eighty years, one month, and three days.
Harold will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife, Rosanna Gilbert of Potosi; five children: Brenda DeClue of Park Hills, Shelby Gilbert and Lisa of Potosi, Mary Hanson and Terry of Jefferson City, Dorothy Robertson of Potosi, and Shirley Witt and Joe of Eldon; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Harold is preceded in death by his son, Richard Gilbert; granddaughter, Charity Gilbert; and grandson, Justin Sport.
Visitation for Harold will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 10:30 AM. A funeral service will start at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Dale Stringer officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the arrangements for Harold during this time of remembrance.
