Stan Brown

February 12, 1952 — December 31, 2024

Harold Stanley Brown, known by family and friends as "Stan" of St. Louis, Missouri, was born on February 12, 1952, a son of the late Harold Henry Brown and Mary Carnese (Broglin) Brown. Stan departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in Potosi at the age of 72.

Stan is survived by his two daughters: Shannon Eckhoff (husband, Darrell) and Shelly Castaldi (husband, DJ); six grandchildren: Heather Crowe (husband, Wesley), DJ Eckhoff and Miranda, Jacob Brown, Colby Eckhoff and Trinity, Sonya Eckhoff and Harley, and Madison Castaldi; his six great grandchildren: Nolan, Grantlee, Easton, Loki, Rhyatt, and Saraeya; six siblings: Curt (Terri) Brown, Sue Salviccio, Benny Brown, Lina "Sissy" Rulo, Jimmy Brown, and Tracy Brown. Stan also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. 

In addition to his father and mother, Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Sonya "Sonny" (Harper) Brown; his great granddaughter, Maggie Sonya Mae Eckhoff; and two brothers-in-law: Joe Salviccio and Richard Rulo.

Stan was a simple man. Among the many things Stan enjoyed were hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, and most of all watching NASCAR Racing. Stan could frequently be found on the weekends at the Pevely Racecar Track. In his later years, Stan loved watching westerns, especially The Rifleman. Stan served in the United States Army from April 1, 1969 to November 12, 1971. Stan was a friend to many, often lending a helping hand to someone in need. He will be missed by his family and friends. 

There will be no formal service. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
