Glenwood Skaggs

Glenwood Skaggs of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on March 5, 1924 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son of the late Ferd Skaggs and the late Abagail (Cover) Skaggs. Glenwood passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 having reached the age of ninety-six years, eight months and four days. Glenwood was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in WWII.

Those who remain to mourn his passing include his two children: Roger Skaggs and wife Diana and Midge Pyatt and husband Danny; eight grandchildren: Kelly Pyatt, Chanda Bond and husband Jeff, Kenny Pyatt and wife Liz, Shaunna Linton and husband Michael, Michelle Skaggs, Anita Benson and husband Joe, James Skaggs and wife Amanda, Kerri Skaggs, and Mindy Kennon and husband Michael; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Skaggs. Glenwood is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to his father and mother, Glenwood was preceded in death by his first wife, Iva (Gamble) Skaggs; second wife, Mildred (Dobbs) Skaggs; two step sons: Earl "Keeter" Skaggs and wife Marilyn, and Curt Skaggs; granddaughter Misha Pyatt; four siblings: Pearl Skaggs, Wilburn Skaggs, Percy Skaggs and Ruby Gibson.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 4:30 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri, 63664.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 beginning at 11 am held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastors Matt Woods and Randy Ruble officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Full military honors will be presented by the United States Army and VFW Post 6996. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
