Glenwood Gillam of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on December 28, 2006 at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, having reached the age of 70 years, 8 months and 17 days. He was born on April 11, 1936 at Belgrade, Missouri, a son of the late Elmer A. Gillam and Blanche Z. Jenkins Gillam.
In addition to his parents, Glenwood was preceded in death by his sister Frances Akers, a half sister, Hazel Bequette and a half brother, Austin Gillam.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his sister, Helen Akers of Belgrade and brother, Don Gilliam and wife Judy of Belgrade.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Donnie Crocker officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Corey Akers, Eddie Gillam, Chris Dicus, Tom Wigger, Arron Wigger and Rodney Eckhoff.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, Missouri with all arrangements entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
