Note From Her Family: Anyone who knew or met Glenna Mae immediately understood her faith and her family were first in her life. Glenna Mae and Frank enjoyed forty years together before he was called home 29 years ago. They spent a lifetime working together running McClain TV and Appliances in Potosi. If Glenna Mae was not at home with the family or helping Frank in the “shop,” she could usually be found at Potosi United Methodist Church. After Frank’s passing, Glenna knew she still had many talents to share. Volunteering at the elementary school to help first and second graders with reading was a blessing for her. She was a voracious reader who at age 80 received her first e-reader and said it was life changing because she wouldn’t have to worry about hard winters preventing her from getting to the library for new books. Her second passion was helping people create happy memories with family and friends through good food, which naturally lead to fellowship with others. So Glenna’s Gourmet began to fill her days (and sometimes evenings). The thing we remember most is her consistently positive attitude. Always reminding us that God will never give us more than we can handle with his help.

As Glenna and Frank’s children we want to thank our family and friends who made growing up in Potosi such a wonderful part of our lives. The true meaning of small town family was evident the evening she passed. As the funeral home van arrived and the director entered the care facility to bring her body home, he greeted the staff with “where’s Grandma Glenna, she helped me learn to read.” To our family, he was also family, having laid Frank to rest so many years earlier.

With Love and Eternal Gratitude,
Leonard, Becky and Patty
