Glenda Golden

July 10, 1951 — June 8, 2017

Glenda Jean Golden of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on July 10, 1951, a daughter to the late George Marler and the late Margie (McMahan) Marler. On February 1, 1969, Glenda was united in marriage to William "Bill" Golden and they shared forty-eight years together.

Glenda went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of sixty-five years, ten months, and twenty-nine days.

Glenda will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband, Bill Golden of Mineral Point; two sons: Mike Golden and wife Carla of Hillsboro, and Ronnie Golden and wife Rachelle of Fenton; sister, Brenda Horn and husband Vernon of Mineral Point; five grandchildren: Justin Golden and wife Sam of Cape Girardeau, Jason Golden and wife Emily of Festus, Madison Golden of Hillsboro, Mackenzie Golden of Hillsboro, and Camden Golden of Hillsboro; special nieces: Angie Robinson and Jimmy Douthit, Amy Stearns and husband Bill, and Nikki Price and Matt Gray; brother-in-law, Eugene Price; and aunt Biggie to: Morgan, Taylor, Skyler, Malyn, Gracie Jean, Skyler, Peyton, and Elli Jean.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy Golden and a precious baby before birth; sister, Georgia Price; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Theresa Golden.

Visitation for Glenda will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 3:30 -8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Hopewell Church of God, beginning at 9:00 AM.

A funeral service for Glenda will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Hopewell Church of God with Pastor Jim Wade officiating assisted by Pastor Gary Golden.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. DeClue Funeral Home was honored to care for the arrangements for Glenda during this time of remembrance.
