Glen "Sonny" Laramore

Glen Paul “Sonny” Laramore, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri passed away on May 18, 2016 at his residence having reached the age of eighty three years, three months, and twelve days. He was born on February 6, 1933, in Belgrade, Missouri, a son to the late Louie Franklin Laramore and the late Alice May (Pierce) Laramore.

Sonny is survived by his son Glen Laramore, Jr. and wife Nichole of Mineral Point; eight siblings: Donald Laramore and wife Jody of Caledonia, George Laramore and wife Janet of Greensburg, Kentucky, Raymond Laramore and wife Donna of St. Clair, Elaine Obryan and husband Mike of Festus, Wilma “Sissie” Coy and husband Arthur “Bud” of Potosi, Mary Ann Schroer and husband Lester of Potosi, Erma Harrelson and husband James of Potosi, and Phyllis Long and husband Bill of Potosi; grandchildren: Maverick Laramore and Grace Laramore; sisters-in-law: Juanita Laramore and June Laramore; special family friends: Lynn Degonia, Janice Heifner, and Rachel Heifner; and many other extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Sonny is preceded in death by his daughter Tina Robinson; brothers: James Laramore and John Laramore; and sister Melba Jones.

Visitation for Sonny was held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Rev. H. Wayne Isgriggs officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented by the United States Army and Local VFW Post #6996. Honoring Sonny by serving as pallbearers were Lynn Degonia, Joe Degonia, Dennis Cash, Larry Cash, Joe Schroer and Colton Politte. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
