Gerald David Simpson of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on December 14, 2007 at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, having reached the age of seventy one years, ten months and six days. He was born on February 8, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late George Edward Simpson and Dorothy Williamson Simpson.
On April 18, 1969, he was united in marriage to Norma Garwood and they shared over thirty eight years together. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are his wife, Norma Simpson of Cadet; three daughters, Kimberly Sharpe of Washington, DC, Lisa Harrison of Iraq, Kathy Lewis and husband Larry of Mexico, Missouri; a sister Dorothy Feiner of Ellisville; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
A Memorial Service was held at 2 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi, Missouri.
