George Rowden

George Monroe Rowden of Arnold, Missouri passed away on June 17, 2015 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of sixty four years, eight months, and six days. He was born on October 11, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri a son to the late Monroe and Bertha (Pickett) Rowden. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his beloved wife Judi (Stolle) Rowden of Arnold, Missouri; son George Carpenter and wife Christina of Illinois; six daughters: Lisa Krafft of Arnold, Missouri, Brittany Hancock of Alton, Illinois, Taryn Rowden of Dupo, Illinois, Courtney Rowden of Dupo, Illinois, Tina Simpson and husband Ronald of St. Peters, Missouri, and Julie King and husband Michael of Edwardsville, Illinois; brother Bobby Rowden of Old Mines, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Rachel, Bradley, Austin, Connor, Michael, Matthew, Ava, and Harper; and many other extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his brother Ernest R. Rowden. Visitation for George will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
