George Pinson

William George Pinson of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on January 12, 2008, at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 80 years, 10 months and 6 days. He was born on March 6, 1927 at Anthonies Mill, Missouri, a son of the late William Glover Pinson and Clara (Northcutt) Pinson.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil Oscar Pinson and John Willard Pinson; two half brothers Joseph Pinson and Frank Baldridge Jr. four half sisters Minerva Sprinkle, Bessie Mueller, Ethel Dolly Eaton and Helen Shipman. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather; a dear brother and uncle.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife, Betty Pinson of Potosi; two daughters, Susan Lloyd and husband Bobby of Little Rock, Arkansas and Patricia Pinson of Potosi; two grandchildren, Justin and William Lloyd; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 PM, on Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Justin Lloyd, Billy Skaggs, Jerry Noble, Larry Baldridge, Kirk Mueller and Tim Whitney.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi, Missouri.
