Geneva Nickelson

Geneva Ruth Nickelson, also lovingly known as “GiGi” of Potosi, Missouri, was born on July 7, 1941 in Potosi, a daughter to Robert Dale Burt and Bernice Mildred (Skaggs) Burt. GiGi passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 having reached the age of 81 years and 1 month. On September 2, 1961 GiGi was united in marriage to Frances Gerald “Pete” Nickelson and they shared 60 years of life and love together.

Those who remain to treasure her memory include her beloved husband, Francis “Pete” Nickelson; five daughters: Carrie Nickelson and Jack Asbridge, Deborah Hill, Kathy Albert (husband, David Jr.), Shelia Bunch (husband, Allen), and Rhonda Skiles (husband, Brian); grandchildren: Nicole Litton and Jimmy Coleman, Ryan Litton, Cameron Litton, Amanda Hill, Lance Hill, Austin Albert (wife, Courtney), Colin Albert and Kalie Stout, Amber Vaughn (husband, Scott), Aric Austin (wife, Anca), Avery Austin, Joseph Nickelson (wife, Chala), Kota Garrett (husband, Roper), Kensie Prochnow (husband, Harley), Jeremy Nickelson and Cheyenne, and Hunter Skiles (wife, Lilly); great grandchildren: Alize, Joslyn, Kamiyae, Beau, Amondre, Amoniea, Amearie, Amajalea, Amontae, Amezaryah, Ameilia, Maisen, Quenton, Keirrah, Michael, Evany, Lyla, Mayzie, Madilyn, Ava, Ahrionna, Karaline, Nollyn, Bruce, Jasper, Rosalee, Ophelia, Joseph, Ollie, and Titus. GiGi is also survived by one brother, Tommy Burt (wife, Connie) and nephew, Tom Burt.

In addition to her father and mother, GiGi was preceded in death by her sister, Joann Burt; son-in-law, Charles Hill; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Carl and Virgie Nickelson.

A Memorial Gathering and Service will be held on Sunday, August 28th, 2022 at 1 PM and will be held at 758 Isabella Street, Farmington, MO. 63640.

A special “Thank you” is extended by GiGi’s family to Kindred Hospice for their care and compassion that they showed while under their services.
