Gayla Henry

Gayla Renee Henry of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on June 1, 2005 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 30 years, 2 months and 14 days. Gayla was born on March 18, 1975 to Helen (Gillam) Akers and the late Kenneth Akers. She was a member of the Hopewell Church of God.

In addition to her father, Gayla was preceded in death by a son Braden Lands and a brother Raymond Akers.

Those who remain to mourn her passing include her mother Helen Akers of Belgrade; her husband Tim Henry of Belgrade; two sons, Matthew Lands and Dylan Lands; a daughter Madylan Lands; five brothers, Jim Akers and wife Randi of Potosi, David Akers and wife Pat of Potosi, Kenneth Akers of Belgrade, Ricky Akers and wife Sherry of Belgrade and Joe Gollaher of New Mexico; and one sister, Pat Marshall of Potosi; cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Jim Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were, Eddie Gillam (cousin), Corey Akers (nephew), Matt Lands (friend), Matt Akers (nephew), Lonnie Horton (friend), Rodney Eckhoff (cousin)and Billy Akers (nephew).

Interment was in the Scott Cemetery in Belgrade, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
