Gary Chapman

Gary Frank Chapman of Irondale, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, having reached the age of seventy one years, one month and eighteen days. He was born on October 13, 1942, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A son to the late Thomas Chapman and Eva (Steinbacher) Chapman.
On August 13, 1963, Gary was united in marriage to Marie A. Dodgins at Perris, California and they shared fifty years together.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Marie Chapman of Irondale, Missouri; daughter Rebecca Chapman of Irondale, Missouri; five sons Timothy Chapman and wife Rosalia of California; Gary Chapman Jr. of California; Jeffrey Chapman and wife Elizabeth of California; Philip Chapman and wife Regina of California and Shannon Webb and wife Andrea of California; one brother James Chapman and wife Rosemary; three sisters Lady Daniels and husband Leo; Nancy Vaughn and husband Dwayne and Susie McBride and husband David; seven grandchildren Brittany, Kelsey, Timothy Jr., Kimberly, Katrina, Sabrina and Eric; three great grandchildren Athena, Kloie and Rainy; brothers in law Mike Gale and Jerry Dodgins; sisters in law Leslie Chapman, Mary Province and husband Bruce and Cynthia Dodgins and a host of relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by two sisters Eva Andrade and husband Frank and Diane Gale; brother Tom Chapman; brother in law Terry Dodgins.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 1 pm at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Speaker David Woods.
Honoring Gary by serving as pallbearers were Jeff Chapman, Bruce Province, Eric Chapman, Timothy Chapman, Gary Chapman Jr. and Phillip Chapman.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery under the direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
