Fred Stroupe

Fred Eugene Stroupe of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on February 17, 2013 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of seventy six years, five months and sixteen days. He was born on September 1, 1936 in Belgrade, Missouri a son to the late John Stroupe and Lora (Patterson) Stroupe.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by three brothers Willard Medley, John Medley, Kelly Stroupe; three sisters Ruby Politte, Ellie Goodson, Hattie Griggs and a sister in law Joyce Stroupe.

Fred served in the United States Army from 1954 ~ 1956.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are a son David Stroupe of Pacific; two sisters Carnell Wade Buckley of Ironton, Rosemary Aubuchon and husband Jim of Caledonia; brother Paul Stroupe of Potosi; three grandchildren Dakota Ryan Stroupe of Potosi, Samantha Stroupe of Carthage, Tabitha Stroupe of Carthage; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Shepard officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Victor Mosier, David Griggs, Kim Reed and Jim Aubuchon.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Grassy Hollow Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
