Frances Marie Rawl of Mineral Point, Missouri, departed this life on December 1, 2005 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 53 years, 10 months and 28 days. She was born on January 4, 1952 at St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Samuel Tate, Sr. and Gladys Marie (Saale) Tate.
On October 14, 1972, she was united in marriage to George Rawl at Stoney Point, Missouri, and to this union three children were born. Frances was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church. She loved her church, her family and her friends. She will be sadly missed.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by four children, Anna Marie Tate, Scott Anthony Tate, Joseph Wayne Tate and an Infant.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are her husband, George Rawl, Sr.; her son, George Howard Rawl, Jr. and wife Angela of Bonne Terre; two daughters, Tina Rawl-Crump and husband Jerry of Park Hills and Angela Cain and husband Bryan of Cadet; her sister, Theresa Jones of Desloge; four brothers, Sam Tate, Jr. and wife Cary of Elmhorst, IL, James Tate and wife Donna of Bonne Terre, Clarence Tate and wife Nina of Mineral Point, and Mark Tate of Mineral Point; eight grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 AM on Monday, December 5, 2005 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Howard Rawl, Jr., Jerry Martinez, Joseph Martinez, Joshua Weir, Preston Jones, David Martinez, James Tate and Jerry Crump.
Interment and final prayers followed in Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
