Floyd Lee Wade, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri was born on August 26, 1938 in Belgrade, Missouri, a son to the late Floyd Wade and the late Elsie (Henderson) Wade. Floyd passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Mercy Jefferson having reached seventy-nine years of age.
In addition to his parents, Floyd is preceded in death by his son, Lonnie Wade; grandson, Clayton Wade; two sisters, Reva Boyster and Floy May Wade; and brother, Phillip Vern Wade.
Floyd will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his three children: Floyd L. "Sput" (Chris Stewart) Wade, Jr., Zena (Michael) Partney, and Dexter "Duke" (Dawn) Wade; brother, Rev. Robert "Boat" (Joann) Wade; two sisters: Linda (Wayne) Scott and Judy (George) Politte; five grandchildren: Jessica (Aaron) Vivian, Sarah (Cory) Dicus, Wyatt Wade, Waylon Wade, and Willow Wade; two great-grandsons: Clark and Kobe Dicus; also surviving are many dear relatives and friends.
Visitation for Floyd will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM, held at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday, June 23, 2018, beginning at 9:00 AM.
A funeral service for Floyd will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Wade officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.
