Evert "Eddie" Stuart

Evert Edward Stuart, also lovingly known as “Eddie” of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on October 25, 1961 in St Charles, Missouri, a son of Francis “Elbert” Stuart and the late Betty (Burton) Pond. Eddie passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, having reached the age of 62.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his father, Elbert Stuart; children: Tony Stuart (Melinda), Sara Bailey (Kaye); grandchildren: Katelyn Briggs (Kasey), Blake Stuart, and Alex Stuart; great granddaughter, Nora Rose Stuart; siblings: Dianna Piatt (Jerry), Kathie Eckhoff (Jerry Carson), and Penny Cagle; and mother of his children, Katherine Stuart.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Pond; siblings: Teddy Stuart, Eugene Stuart, and Lula Faye Davis; and grandparents: Doc and Lulu Williamson.

Eddie served proudly in the US National Guard and retired with honorable discharge. He loved many things in his life—he loved his family, playing horseshoes, and driving big trucks. Eddie was deeply loved by his wife, his children, grandchildren, and friends. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

A Memorial Visitation will be Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 11:30 am until the time of his Memorial Service at 2 pm, held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E High St, Potosi, MO 63664. Military honors will be presented by the Army National Guard.
