Evelyn Thompson

Evelyn Addie Thompson of Bonne Terre, Missouri was born on October 17, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter to the late Orville C. Vaughn and the late Anna (Warden) Vaughn. Evelyn entered eternal rest on June 14, 2017 at the Parkland Medical Center having reached the age of seventy-three years, seven months and twenty-eight days.

Evelyn will be missed by all who loved and knew her including her son, Lynn Thompson and Kirk of Bonne Terre, Missouri; daughter, Sandra Thompson of Bonne Terre; sister, Shirley Vaughn of St, Charles, Missouri; two grandchildren: Hope Hommel and Keith Sudmeyer; three great grandchildren: Colten, Hunter and Levi; niece/daughter, Jenny Harrell; nephew/son, Roger Thompson; also surviving are extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin Thompson; daughter, Malissa Sudmeyer; niece/daughter, Gloria Thompson; sisters: Betty Vaughn, Rosemary Vaughn and Laura Waller; brothers: Geitter, Earl and Sunny Vaughn.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Hopewell Church of God on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Sis. Tammy Reed officiating.

Interment was held at the Hermann City Cemetery. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements for Evelyn during this time of remembrance.
