Evelyn Susan Lawson of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on November 14, 2012 at her residence at the age of seventy three years, two months and twenty two days. She was born on August 23, 1939 in Iron County, Missouri a daughter to the late Ferman Akers and Pearl (Nelson) Akers.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a step son Rick Lawson.

On October 14, 1986, Sue was united in marriage to Rueben Lawson and they shared forty six years together.

Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a board member on the Housing Authority. She was actively involved in the community. She
attended First Assembly of God and participated in the Women's Ministry. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events throughout their school years. Sue was blessed with the ability to care unconditionally for others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Rueben Lawson of Potosi; two daughters Ladonna (Leroy) Pinson of Mineral Point; Karen (Clyde) Allen of Potosi; step son Eddie (Belinda) Lawson of Arcadia Valley; step daughter Pam Worley of Park Hills; two brothers Harry (Kathy) Fox of Potosi; Alva (Debbie) Fox of Bonne Terre; sister Betty Akers of Ironton; four grandchildren Greg (Angie) Battreal; Courtney Allen; Kelsey Allen; Jennifer Pinson; two great grandchildren Hannah Battreal; Cole Battreal; six step grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Gary Petty officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Aaron Fox, Donald Lynn Gardener, Eddie Lawson, Cole Battreal, Greg Battreal and Clyde Allen.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
