Evelyn Mae Evans of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on April 18, 2007 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, Missouri, having reached the age of 72 years, 1 month and 21 days. She was born at Potosi, Missouri on February 28, 1935, a daughter of the late Marvin Myers and Lucille Youngblood Myers.
On September 16, 1955 she was united in marriage to Charles Evans and to this union two children were born. They shared over 51 years of marriage together. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother; a dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a sister, Clara E. Myers.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her husband, Charles Evans of Potosi; a daughter, Brenda Huddleston and husband J.C. of Potosi; a son, Bruce Evans and wife Paula of Vilonia, AR; two sisters, Marie Edgar of Potosi, Bertha Gillam and husband Lindell of Farmington; five grandchildren, Anessa Jacobs and husband Chris, Katrina Huddleston, Michael Huddleston, Clay Patterson and Erica Patterson; nieces; nephew; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 20, 2007, 1 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Elder J.C. Huddleston and Elder Bruce Evans officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Huddleston, Brian Buckley, Sidney Rasnic, John Simpson, Christopher Jacobs and James D. Boyer.
Interment and final prayers were held at Bates Creek Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
