Eunice Wood

Eunice Wood of St. Louis, Missouri departed this life on September 12, 2009 at the Community Care Center of Lemay having reached the age of ninety four years, eleven months and twenty one days. She was born on September 22, 1914 at Dillard, Missouri a daughter to the late Carac A. Crabtree and Emma (Turnbough) Crabtree.

In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Harry L. Wood; son Bill Wood; a brother Orville Crabtree; two brother in laws Harold Turnbough and Jake Adams..

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are a daughter in law Jacquelynn Wood of St. Louis; three sisters Minnie Turnbough of St. Loius; Geraldine Alexander and husband Joe of Steelville; Bernice Adams of Viburnum; three grandchildren Becky Ketzner, Patty Shepard, Judy Vonder Haar and husband Mark; seven great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Pastor Ron Beaver officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Mark Vonder Haar, Ron Shepard, Joe Ketzner, Jason Shepard, Caleb Shepard, Rob Propst and Scott Vonder Haar.

Interment and final prayers were held at Lower Indian Creek Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
