Eugene Woods

Eugene Francis Woods, Jr. of Irondale, Missouri departed this life on September 21, 2006 at Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis, having reached the age of 63 years, 10 months and 7 days. He was born on November 14, 1942 in Pawtuckett, Rhode Island, a son of the late Eugene F Woods Sr. and Catherine (Coyle) Woods.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his dear wife, Cynthia Woods. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his daughters, Dolly Ann Britton and husband Boyd of Irondale, Cindy Jean Wells and husband Donald of Park Hills; his son, Dean Woods of Irondale; a sister, Catherine Varela of Providence, Rhode Island; three brothers, James Woods, Joseph Woods, Patrick Woods, all of Providence, Rhode Island; six grandchildren, Jorda Britton, Megan Britton, Ethan Wells, Hannah Wells, Brady Woods and Emily Rose Woods; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Harley Buckley officiating. Interment and final prayers were held at Bismarck Masonic Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
