Ethel Pearl Robertson of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on June 2, 2012 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty five years, five months and one day. She was born on January 1, 1927 in Mineral Point, Missouri a daughter to the late Auther Marler and Mary Cantrell.
Some of Ethel's favorite pastimes were sitting and talking with you about her past; being around her grandchildren; great grandchildren; family and friends and watching cooking shows.
She enjoyed working at Chickens Restaurant in St. Libory, Illinois.
Having endured breast cancer and heart problems, Ethel loved to donate to organizations affiliated with these. She always tried to help others in any possible way she could.
Ethel enjoyed her many years working in the nursing home. She always treated the people with dignity and respect and tried to instill this in others.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband William Noah Henderson; second husband J.T. "Shorty" Robertson; five brothers Gib Marler, Mildie "Red" Marler, Rev. Robert Marler, Joseph Marler, Rev. George Marler; four sisters Gracie Morgan, Ellen Conway, Dorie Shoemaker and Mary Louise Marler.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her daughter LaVern Bourbon of Potosi; two sons Donald Henderson and wife Sandy of Belgrade; Mark Henderson of Potosi; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Bro. Chuck Cantrell officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Billy Bourbon, Matthew Bourbon, Steven Bourbon, Steven Bourbon, Jr., Ted Huber and Donnie Henderson.
Interment and final prayers were held at Valhalla Gardens, Belleville, Illinois. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
