Ethel Nipper of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on January 1, 2011 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of one hundred four years, five months and seventeen days. She was born on July 16, 1906 at Palmer, Missouri a daughter to the late George Jenkins and Mandy (Goodson) Jenkins.
Ethel was a member of the Hazel Creek First Church of God and was the last Charter Member.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Hurst Nipper; two children Bernell Nipper, George Nipper; son in law Larry Hudson; five brothers William Jenkins, Harry Jenkins, Marvin Jenkins, Dewey Jenkins, James Jenkins; six sisters Dora Marler, Lottie Ives, Maude Carroll, Susie Anderson, Blanche Gilliam, Cleo White; four grandchildren Dianne Mayberry, Hershel Nipper, Linda Nipper, Roxanne Waller; one great grandchild Amanda Nipper; four great great grandchildren Colten Brown, Garrett Brown, Devin Brown and Cayden Dudley.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are three sons Clyde Nipper and wife Margaret of Belgrade; Jim Nipper and wife Melba of Belgrade; Cyril Nipper and wife Bonnie of Potosi; two daughters Delores Akers and husband Lawrence of Belgrade; Erma Hudson of Barnhart; daughter in law Edith Nipper of Belgrade; sister in law Dorothy Jenkins of Potosi; twenty three grandchildren; fifty four great grandchildren; seventy four great great grandchildren; a total of one hundred fifty one grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Harvey Buckley and Rev. Wendell Nipper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Eddie Nipper, Craig Ives, Victor Isidro, Rob Boyer, David Skaggs, Dennis Nipper, Gary Boyer, Jimmy Boyer and Joe Boyer.
Interment and final prayers were held at Jenkins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
