Ernest Cook

Ernest Nicholas Cook entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 19, 2016 at his residence in Arnold, Missouri, having reached the age of ninety two years, eleven months and fifteen days. He was born on October 4, 1923 in Clarkton, Missouri, a son to the late Festus Henry Cook and the late Pearl Jane (Knight) Cook.

On October 27, 1946, Ernest was united in marriage to Flossie Mae "Jean" Webb and the shared sixty nine years together.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife Flossie "Jean" Cook of Arnold, Missouri; daughter Mary J. Edwards and husband Phillip of Imperial, Missouri; two sisters Jewel Jones of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; Francis E. Bennett of Abilene, Texas; two granddaughters Brenda J. Ramo of Mineral Point; Kristie L. Voorhees and husband William of Bourbon, Missouri; twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by two sisters Christine Cook and Ruth Gray; brothers George Andrew Cook and Franklin Cook.

Visitation for Ernest was held Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 11 AM until the time of service at 2 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Mo. 63664. Honoring Ernest by serving as pallbearers were Justin Pashia, Christopher Pashia, Lawrence Pashia, James Clubbs and Randy Lucas.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
