Emma Griggs

September 26, 1925 — July 30, 2015

Emma Leoma Griggs of Potosi, Missouri entered into rest on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty nine years, ten months and four days. She was born on September 26, 1925, in Wayne County, Missouri, a daughter to the late Milas Montgomery and Effie (King) Montgomery.

Emma is survived by her beloved husband Amos Griggs of Potosi;two sons Dennis Chiles and wife Shirley of Arnold; Ronnie Chiles and wife Margie of Cadet; one daughter Carolyn Sue James and husband Gene of Cadet; three step children Gary Garner of Cape Girardeau; Carol Dixon of Potosi; Clydie "Sissy" Webb and husband Chester "Bub" of St. Louis; ten grandchildren Doina Trexler and husband Derek; Kimberly Reynolds and husband Doug; Ryan Chiles and wife Tasha; Joey Chiles; Dillon Chiles; Amanda Chiles; Jennifer Chiles; Donald Dunivan; Darrell Dunivan; Geno Dunivan; also surviving are numerous great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her son Robert Leon Chiles; grandson Dale Dunivan; brother Cleatus Montgomery and sister Audrey Bennett.

Friends may call on the family Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 4:30-8:00 pm at the DeClue Funeral Home and Monday, August 3, from 9:00-11:00 am.

Funeral services for Emma will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 am held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel.

Interment and final prayers will take place at the New Prospect Cemetery, Silva, Missouri.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully cared for under the direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
