Elton Carlyle Haderlein of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 5, 2006 at his residence, having reached the age of 77 years, 1 month and 5 days. He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on July 31, 1929, a son of the late Carlyle B. Haderlein and Lucille J. Sampson Haderlein.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Potosi and had received his 55 year pin from the Masons. He had worked for Dow Chemical for thirty years when he retired and then worked with Marshall Eye Drilling for 24 years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife, Jean Haderlein of Potosi; two sons, Darryl Haderlein and wife Sue of Potosi and David Haderlein of Potosi; step children, Mark Freeman and wife Monica of Naples FL, Scott Freeman and Nicole Freeman of Desoto; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, at 2 PM with Rev. Jeff Richards and Rev. Dale Blount officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Darryl Haderlein, David Haderlein, Scott Freeman, Andy Isgrig, Ray Gibson and Rodney Sampson.
Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
