Elsie Boyster

October 27, 1948 — June 4, 2008

Elsie Helen Boyster of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on June 4, 2008 at her residence, having reached the age of fifty-nine years, seven months and eight days. She was born at Potosi, Missouri on October 27, 1948, a daughter of the late Judson B. Farris and Rosetta Richards Farris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, George Farris, Bill Farris, Junior Farris; two sisters, Mary Lou Farris and Alice Ray.

She was united in marriage to Junior Boyster on June 7, 1964 and they shared over forty three years of marriage together. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended the Potosi Full Gospel and the First General Baptist Church. She was a dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Elsie?s hobbies included gardening, fishing, painting, cleaning and caring for others. No matter who walked through the door they were accepted with open arms and left with a full stomach. She was a strong believer in a bond with family, friends and God. Elsie was a mother and grandmother to many. She was a grandmother who cherished spending time with each and everyone of her grandchildren and worried about them every minute that they were not with her. Her dedication and caring nature will be remembered by all.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her husband, Junior Boyster; two sons, Thomas Boyster of Mineral Point, Tony Boyster and wife Jennifer of Blackwell; three brothers, Leonard Farris and wife, Jody of Caledonia, Ben Farris and wife, Joyce of Potosi, John Farris of Leasburg; one sister, Mae Rulo and husband, Chester of Potosi; seven grandchildren Kelseton, Wyatt and Gracie Boyster, Malanei and Sehra Terrill, Ashley and Amanda Gillam; one great grandchild Addison Gillam; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. David Skaggs and Rev. Ardell Gray officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Chester Rulo, Randy Farris, Everett Farris, Eddie Lewis, Curtis Bouse and David Farris.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
