Edward Vick

Edward Lee Vick of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on April 11, 1934 in North Carolina, a son to the late Claude Vick and the late Mary (Glisson) Vick. Edward went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 25, 2018 at his residence having reached the age of eighty-four years, one month and fourteen days.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by two brothers: Claude Vick Jr. and Alton Vick Sr.; and one great grandson.

Edward will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife, Doris Vick; daughter, Bobbi Farley; three sons: Eddie (Donna) Vick, Tony (Karan) Vick and Marty Vick; one sister, Louise Williams; also surviving are a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4:30-8 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 30, from 9-11 a.m. at the Hopewell Church of God.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. held at the Hopewell Church of God with Pastor Sheldon Marler officiating. Honoring Edward by serving as Pallbearers are Tim Farley, Jr., AJ Vick, Joey Vick, PJ Vick, Kyle Vick, Jacob Vick, and Jaydee Vick.

Interment and final prayers will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders. Full military honors will be presented by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 6996.
