Edward Knapp

Edward Lora Knapp of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born on April 26, 1924 in Sullivan, Missouri, a son to the late William H. Knapp and Mary B. Russell Knapp.

On September 19, 1948, Edward was united in marriage to Thelma Boyster and they shared sixty five years together.

Edward is survived by his beloved wife Thelma Knapp of Potosi, Missouri; son Stanley Knapp and wife Doris of Potosi, Missouri; daughter LaDonna Fitzgerald and husband Pat of Belleview, Missouri; sister Dorothy Thompson of Potosi, Missouri; five grandchildren Jason Fitzgerald and wife Amy, Stephanie Coleman and husband Rodney, Jarrod Knapp and wife Jamie, Josh Fitzgerald and Eric Knapp; eleven great grandchildren Allie, Alexis, Garrett, Ethan, Riley, Emilee, Emily, Wyatt, Ellie, Owen and Aiden; many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Hallie Stroup.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM held at the DeClue Funeral Home with Rev. Bobbie Brown officiating. Honoring Edward's life by serving as pallbearers were Jason Fitzgerald, Jarrod Knapp, Josh Fitzgerald, Eric Knapp, Rodney Coleman, Garrett Coleman, Ethan Fitzgerald and Wyatt Knapp.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
