Edward Glore

Edward ?Les? Glore of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Potosi Manor Nursing Home, having reached the age of 66 years and 5 months. He was born at Potosi, Missouri on May 16, 1941, a son of the late Edward Leslie Glore and Mary Marie Degonia Glore.

In addition to his parents, Les was preceded in death by a son, Robert Glore; and a sister, Mary Glore. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a long-time member of the VFW Post 6996.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his son, Robert Eugene Glore of North Bend, Washington; a daughter Lisa Atkins of Joplin; two sisters, Bonnie Price of Potosi, Barbara Summers of Potosi; three brothers, Bill Glore and wife, Reda of Kimberling City, Roger Glore and wife, Sharon of Mineral Point, Ray Glore and wife, Kimberly of Mineral Point; three grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; dear friend, Lorene Emerson; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Larry Degonia officiating, obituary and prayer by Rev. Jim Cartee; music by Paul and Diedre Tindall. Serving as pallbearers were Roger Glore, Jr., Timmy Glore, Jim Harbison, Joe Summers, Bill Glore, Jr. and Mike Missey.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
