Edward Dunne

Edward F. Dunne of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on February 5, 2009 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home having reached the age of ninety five years, ten months and twenty five days. He was born on March 11, 1913 at East St. Louis, IL, a son to the late Stephen Dunne and Eugenia Behler Dunne.

Edward was a member of the St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville, Il and a member of the American Legion for sixty years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eileen Hochdaffer; four brothers Larry Dunne, Stephen Dunne Jr., John Dunne, Tom Dunne; two sisters Eugenia Dunn and Helen Murphy.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are a daughter Kay Price and husband Don of Mineral Point; sister Agnes Webber of Wilbreham, MA; two granddaughters Karen Adams and husband Jody of Park Hills; Angie Battreal and husband Greg of Farmington; seven great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating.

Interment and final prayers were held at the New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
