Edna Politte

Edna Alberta Politte of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on April 28, 2011 at her residence having reached the age of seventy five years, nine months and ten days. She was born on July 18, 1935 at Washington County, Missouri a daughter to the late James S. Blackwell and Florence (Glore) Blackwell.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband William J. Politte; three brothers Wesley Blackwell, Alfred Blackwell, James Blackwell; four sisters Mary Blackwell, Della Mae Jarvis, Naomi Worley and Ema Blackwell.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her son Kevin Politte and wife Leanne and son Ryan of Hopewell; daughters Rita Hedrick of Joplin, Glenda Dean and husband Gary of Mineral Point; stepson William Politte and wife Wanda of Mineral Point, stepdaughter Rose Collins of Mineral Point; two brothers Ray Blackwell and wife Loretta of Bonne Terre, Gene Blackwell and wife Viola of Bonne Terre; sister Faye Marler and husband Linnie of Desloge; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Don Lawson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Christopher Emily, Sean Hampton, Mark Kean, Rick Counts, Timmy Wilkins, Jim (Monk) Wilkins, and Travis Wilkins.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
