Edna Johnston

Edna LaVern Johnston of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on July 18, 2010 at her residence having reached the age of seventy seven years and twelve days. She was born on July 6, 1933 at Belgrade, Missouri a daughter to the late Raymond Gillam and Anna Lee (Goodson) Gillam.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband Oman Ward Johnston; two brothers Clinton Jinkerson, Ray Gillam; two sisters Naomi Jinkerson and Thelma Bunton.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are two sisters Bonnie Johnston and husband Harold of Belgrade; Judy Polacek of St. Louis County; two special friends Anthony Brakefield, Bobbie Forrester; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Brother Myron Laramore officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Ralph Gillam, Harvey Gillam, Kenneth Gillam, Anthony Brakefifeld, Eddie Johnston and Billy Johnston.

Interment and final prayers were held at Scott Cemetery, Belgrade. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
