Edna Isgriggs

July 28, 1930 — July 19, 2010

Edna Isgriggs of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on July 19, 2010 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of seventy nine years, eleven months and twenty one days. She was born on July 28, 1930 at Fertile, Missouri a daughter to the late Joseph Sansoucie and Stella (Valley) Sansoucie.

Edna was a fun loving person who most of all loved her Lord. She was always ready to stop and pray for you and tell you that you needed Jesus. She loved to talk about the Bible for hours.

Her “kids” as she called them (which was everyone she met) was her joy. She always wanted to make sure they were fed and happy. She loved growing tomatoes and flowers, even if they were not in a big garden. She enjoyed eating out and being on the run, singing (she would pray or sing on the spot), yard sales and cleaning.

She believed that prayer should be said immediately when requested. She just loved church anywhere at anytime.
Edna loved life but looked so forward to her mansion in heaven.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband Charles Isgriggs; three brothers; three sisters; three great granddaughters Breanna Sue Wilson, Elizabeth Renee Eads and Alexis Isgriggs.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are a daughter Brickey Boyster and husband Leonard of Potosi; son Charles “Gary” Isgriggs and wife Sparkie of St. Louis; one step daughter Lynda Hacker of Indiana; seven grandchildren; one step grandson; thirteen great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Bryce Wilson, Rev. Bob Thurman and Rev. Larry Walburn officiating.
