Edna Pearl Bradley, born on June 13, 1948, in Mineral Point, Missouri, departed from this life on Friday, November 8, 2024. She was a cherished individual whose presence will be deeply missed by who knew her.
Pearl began her career with dedication and hard work, initially beginning at Brown Shoe, then Trim Foot, and Henschel Hat Factory, ultimately culminating her professional journey at Redwing Shoe Factory where she retired from. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her strong character and work ethic.
Education played a meaningful role in Pearl's early life, having attended grade school at Mineral Point School. She was one of eight children born to John S. Cantrell and Rosie Alice (Cain) Cantrell, growing up in a vibrant family that shaped her values and sense of community.
Pearl was not just a diligent worker but a woman of many passions. She played on both co-ed and women’s softball leagues, showcasing her adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. Crafting was another avenue through which she expressed her creativity, making items to sell for her church. Pearl was a member of New Diggins Church. Pearl had a profound love for the Lord, which was evident in all aspects of her life.
Her adventurous nature extended beyond her professional and crafting pursuits. In earlier years, Pearl enjoyed camping at Jack's Fork in Eminence, Missouri, finding joy in the great outdoors. She tended to her beautiful flowers and vegetable garden, and her love for fishing often brought her peace. Notably, even in her later years, Pearl's adventurous spirit shone brightly when she went skydiving, an experience in which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Pearl is preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosie Cantrell, and her seven siblings: Eileen Martin, Lucille Banta, David Cantrell, Raymond Cantrell, Arminta Wiggins, and an infant brother and sister, as well as many other dear relatives.
Pearl leaves behind many loved ones who will miss her dearly. Her influence and the memories she has created will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
