Earlen Beers

Earlen Devol Beers of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on November 23, 2007 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri, having reached the age of sixty nine years, seven months and two days. He was born on April 21, 1938 at Ishmael, Missouri, a son of the late Don Beers and Opal Gladine (Mason) Beers.
On June 30, 1961, he was united in marriage to Virginia Lee Berry at Cadet, Missouri. Mrs. Beers preceded him in death on February 12, 2001.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maybelle Beers and Bertha Hill.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his children, Tony Beers of Belgrade, Rodney Beers and wife Michelle of Belgrade, Sheila Moore and husband Marvin of Caledonia, Dawn Lunsford and husband Rodney of Fredericktown; nine grandchildren, Danielle Maxwell, Megan Curtis, Courtney Beers, Jesse Moore, Emma Beers, Logan Beers, Kara Lunsford, Ross Lunsford and Baby Lunsford; brothers, Ivan Beers and wife Betty of DeSoto, Ray Beers and wife Lynn of Potosi; sisters, Lillian Midgett and husband Ellis of DeSoto, Fay King of Gerald, Kay Nicks and husband David of Gerald; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Harvey Buckley officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Marvin Moore, Denise Midgett, Chris Skaggs, Tracy Courtway, Dean Beery, Doug Midgett.
Interment and final prayers were held at Palmer Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
